I just had a boiler service from British Gas. The boiler is an Ideal Classic FF 230. The small propeller on top of the fan had broken off. Can anyone tell me if this propeller performs any useful function? The BG engineer didn't bother replacing it as he said it had obviously been broken...

Thanks. So would a 3 amp fused non neon switch fitted as a spur from the kitchen ring, with the TV wired directly into the switch be acceptable and possibly the neatest method?

What would be the neatest way to provide power to an under kitchen cabinet TV/DVD? Would a light switch to an unswitched socket be acceptable?

I read on the forum that some dislike a 45 amp cooker switch combined with a socket. Is there any reason for this dislike?

Thanks for your prompt reply. The manufacturer states a 16 amp fuse. The oven is rated as 3.5 Kw max load. There will be a 20 amp double pole switch within 2 metres. The cable will be 2.5 mm with a run of approx 15 metres back to a 16amp MCB on the RCD end of the CU. I wanted the outlet...

Is there any restriction as to how high you can locate a cooker outlet socket? I ask because it will be located behind an eye level oven and so about 1.5 metres above the floor.
