Hi,i managed to sort it out. Red wire and Red wire with white stripe (twist together)=12v+. Black wire and black wire with white stripe(twist together)=12v-. Yellow wire=+video. Black wire=-video. All other wires isolate and leave unconnected.

Just had 7th Open reach engineer out to diagnose fault. Said there was a blip on the line but didn't know what it was. Checked green box no fault detected. Asked him to check junction box on pole (nobodies checked it yet) said no need. Said i might be charged as no fault detected!!!

Broadband is unaffected and yes have tried alternative phones. Have a ringback booked for tomorrow (Friday) so will suggest line monitoring. If no joy we're off to Virgin.

Our line is still going faulty,mainly at night after 6pm and comes back on in the early hours. BT will not send anymore engineers out,saying if no fault found we'll be charged £80 per visit! You couldn't make it up!

Yes subscribed to BT. We are fed up to the back teeth with them.

We have told BT if they don't rectify fault we'll be changing provider,but the thing is if it's a cable fault we'll still have the same trouble unless we go fibre optic like Virgin. Can we demand that BT re-cable?

We have had 6 BT engineers out to try and clear fault on our landline. Every time they clear fault but it comes back again. Line goes dead so we can't call out but if someone rings in the fault usually clears. They have tried everything apart from renewing cables. Any ideas?

New electrician passed wiring with no problems(£125 cheaper than other so called electrician). He said he new former electrician who is now a hairdresser,he also said he thought she was wired up wrong lol.

Have no paperwork,said would print forms off next week. All circuits in house are RCD protected.

Just had electricians husband round demanding i pay him for what i owe his wife and had to call police.Have now got new electrician to do retest and reconnect shed. Thanks for everyones help.

Just tackled electrician,she says because 2.5 T&E is passing thru wall(less than half a metre)i need 4mm cable because of voltage drop.Also need 32A MCB replacing with 20A MCB in CU.

Said wasn't allowed under new regs to change cooker circuit to other use and would need new cable run for shed.

After advice on here went ahead and changed cooker point to 13A FCU to power shed(one 13A double socket +5A FCU for lights). Had a house wiring check done,electrition? said i wasn't allowed to do that and disconected wiring,who's right?

None of the cable will be exposed to the elements.
