Cold feed is well clipped !! . Guessing old cylinder cupboard and they have now spurred of the old dedicated immersion feed. If it was dedicated to the main fuse board that is. Be interesting how they terminate the d2. Foam around flue says it all really.

Rinnai as mentioned made a water heater to replace said water heater. Done a few. Iv been using rinnai for years on campsite toilet and shower blocks etc. Iv used the domestic one in restaurants and they are great bits of kit. Most reliable water heater Iv come across

Combination valve I would put above cylinder, otherwise drain down to replace etc. wiring is crap. D2 pipe terminates where? Seen worse though.

Ps mr combi is a tool. Not many combi/system boilers are connected with 22mm/3/4” connections with there internal ev. Most are 3/8th .An external ev can happily have an isolation to it. There’s purpose valves for this...

Cylinder made by McDonald engineering by any chance? They would use low prv and group set. The ev could be acting as an accumulator. Needs to be looked at by someone that knows what there doing as mentioned. Pretty basic stuff to be honest.
