A regen will still keep the fumes inside the exhaust. If they had done a smoke test up the exit of the exhaust it would have found any leaks in the exhaust.

We live in a hard water area and suffer with lime scale so thinking about a water softener as about to have a new bathroom fitted. We have a 3 bedroom house with 3 adults in it. What do they cost and what brands are recommended (I know nothing about them).
