    Shaver Socket to LED Mirror?

Thanks. Theoretically though, as I might just keep the socket, but i still have second bathroom to do, how would you get rid of the socket in this example if a mirror with built in shaver socket was used?

    Shaver Socket to LED Mirror?

That picture uploaded rotated to the right. The socket is actually below a two-door bathroom cabinet which I will be replacing with an LED mirror. It’s a downstairs bathroom. I took the cabinet off today and chased the wall for the wiring for the mirror. I was just wondering what would be...

    Shaver Socket to LED Mirror?

You’ve planted a seed now. I wasn’t aware that some LED mirrors have shaver sockets. What would I need to do to get rid of the socket and just wire the mirror?

    Shaver Socket to LED Mirror?

I decided to keep the socket and just put the mirror (when I get it) above it. Any issues with that?

    Shaver Socket to LED Mirror?

Thanks for the info! I think what I was looking for was an explanation of the 2x earth/live/neutrals. I'm assuming the reason for the 2x of each is that it is a loop system? Meaning that there is a set of wires feeding this socket but then the second set is off out to another socket somewhere?

    Shaver Socket to LED Mirror?

Thanks for the response but that is what I was referring to. My fault for not being clearer, apologies. I was going to chase to the right of the socket (horizontally) then up behind the cabinet (vertically). Obviously the cabinet would be replaced with the LED mirror.

    Shaver Socket to LED Mirror?

Hey all. I want to install an LED mirror in a bathroom, and I am wondering is it as straight-forward as it looks to spur off this shaver socket? Any advice would be warmly received and appreciated :-) I want the mirror to be where the cabinet is now, so would I chase to the right of the socket...

    Fused Spur to Socket?

Hi Harry. Thanks for the response. It's a new build so there has been no stair lift installed.

    Fused Spur to Socket?

Thanks for the prompt response mate. There is nothing specific for the socket at the fuse box so I assume it will likely fall under 5 (general sockets). But I will get a voltage tester on this tomorrow.

    Fused Spur to Socket?

Hey guys, I have a 13amp fused spur blanking plate for a stair lift at the top of the stairs that I'd like to replace with a plug socket. I just wanted to check that it's as straight-forward as I believe it to be before I swap it over?

Advice on chasing leads into solid wall for TV

Thanks. I only got the spur done today as I doubled checked, then triple checked everything, given this was my first attempt at chasing. I have been over the planned route for the HDMIs & Coax a dozen times and I am confident the road is clear. So, I'll tackle that tomorrow and hopefully get...

Advice on chasing leads into solid wall for TV

I agree. Whilst I could well believe that leads do become faulty at times, I have never had a HDMI or coax cable become faulty. The redundancy here is that I am going to run 2 HDMI cables in the conduit when I only need one. But hey, it's a risk I have to take as I cannot do a straight run in...

Advice on chasing leads into solid wall for TV

Plaster all the way to the floor, John. I took a length of skirting off today to check.

I will get a look on Friday when I take the skirting off and I'll report back.

Advice on chasing leads into solid wall for TV

I have, as I have to take the skirting off any way to lay flooring, but as I'm using a chaser it's too big and bulky to ensure chase stays behind skirting. That said, surely a horizontal chase behind the skirting is the same as a horizontal chase further up the wall?
