Hey all.

I want to install an LED mirror in a bathroom, and I am wondering is it as straight-forward as it looks to spur off this shaver socket? Any advice would be warmly received and appreciated :-) I want the mirror to be where the cabinet is now, so would I chase to the right of the socket and the up to behind where the mirror is?

*edited to add the image of cabinet*

Cables can only run vertically or horizontally from an accessory
Thanks for the response but that is what I was referring to. My fault for not being clearer, apologies.

I was going to chase to the right of the socket (horizontally) then up behind the cabinet (vertically). Obviously the cabinet would be replaced with the LED mirror.

Can someone explain the wiring to me in these sockets?
Very simple. The brown wires are the live, the blue wires are the neutral and the conductors sleeved with yellow and green are the earth.
That is standard colours.

Are you keeping the shaver point? Looking at the photos, it looks like the cables run horizontally behind the cabinet on the right anyway, so carefully dig into the wall behind the cabinet and fish the cables out.

Thanks for the info!

I think what I was looking for was an explanation of the 2x earth/live/neutrals. I'm assuming the reason for the 2x of each is that it is a loop system? Meaning that there is a set of wires feeding this socket but then the second set is off out to another socket somewhere?
