2 Google Nest Thermostats for 2 zones connected to Intergas Rapid 32kw

Hi, I would like to connect 2 Google Nest Thermostats for 2 zones to an Intergas Rapid 32kw (used as a combi boiler). Below is the wiring for the Nest as provided by Google: Page 63 of the Intergas Rapid 32kw manual shows that the Live and Neutral are on pins 2 and 4 of the X2 connector...

Using lever ball valve as draining valve.

Sorry I should have replied, the house is split into 2 parts, the front and the back (i.e. an extension) with a thick wall between those. The easily accessible part is the front, unfortunately I cannot drill through the front façade as it is a listed building. Also I exactly identified the...

All those conditions are met, thanks!

Using lever ball valve as draining valve.

Sorry this is a typo from myself, I am definitely referring to the second one, i.e. the Lever one and not Level. Glad to know it can be left in a closed position and not loose any pressure.

Using lever ball valve as draining valve.

This is because it is underneath a Victorian house in the crawl space and I only have access to 40mm waste pipe to drain (it would be hard to drill a hole in a 40cm hole, and since it is listed I cannot anyway). The easiest way I found to drain from 22mm to 40mm waste is by: 1) Using a 22mm tee...

Using lever ball valve as draining valve.

Hi all, I am installing all the pipes for a new CH system, the lowest point is 1.5m under the floorboards which I have access to. For convenience I would like to use a 22mm lever ball valve as my draining valve (I am planning to purchase a full bore one) which I will connect to a 40mm waste...

    Opentherm on 2 zones installation

The ground floor of the house is the main living area (living room, kitchen, office) and the first floor is for the bedrooms; it would make sense to split the CH into 2 zones as the first floor is not used that much during daytime.

    Opentherm on 2 zones installation

Thanks, so I should be able to use opentherm on 2 zones independently using those 2 Honeywell thermostats (instead of my 2 Google Nest thermostats) with 2 zone valves, is that correct? It is a bit annoying I cannot use my Google Nest thermostats for multizone & opentherm... Regarding the...

    Opentherm on 2 zones installation

Hi all, I am about to get a new Intergas Rapid 32 Plus boiler installed. I need 2 zones and my original plan was simply to have 2 zone valves , controlled by my 2 Google Nest Thermostats as On/Off thermostats. However I came across something interesting page 26 of the boiler manual (refer to...

    Choice of BTU calculator

I have been trying several BTU calculators but came across inconsistent results using the same criteria. Could you please let me know which BTU calculator you find the most reliable?

Size of hole for 60/100 flue.

I need to make a hole for a 60/100 flue for an Intergas Rapid 32 boiler which is soon being commissioned. The flue will be going through a plasterboard, PIR insulation board and cladding. What is the contentious regarding the diameter of the hole for 60/100 flue going through the above...

Conductor area for induction hob cable

I managed to get the instruction manual from Bosh at http://media3.bsh-group.com/digitalusermanual/9001163781_G.pdf Does the manual imply that there is one single config if the unit is connected to either a standard socket or a cooker circuit (i.e. Live on pin 3 and Neutral on pin 5)?

Conductor area for induction hob cable

I added a couple more photos below. This is weird, the user manual does not specify which connector is live versus neutral. There is also no such indication on the plastic flap/cover (both sides) which covers the power cable itself.

Conductor area for induction hob cable

Thank you, this is much appreciated. Last question if I may, the power connectors underneath the PUE611BF1B unit are labelled 1 to 5 (with Earth), it does not clearly identify which is the live versus neutral connection. Due to the installation guide not containing much details, I have to rely...

Conductor area for induction hob cable

Well spotted, could I simply connect a 6mm2 3 core cable to the live/neutral/earth underneath the unit (as shown in the photo below) and then to a dual cooker connection unit? Note that my HOXC3UB3358BI oven is already connected to the cooker circuit.

Conductor area for induction hob cable

Hi, I need to replace the power cable of a Bosh Serie 4 induction hob (model PUE611BF1B). The flex cable that came with the unit has a standard UK plug (the unit can deliver up to 3.7Kw). I have some spare 2.5mm2 cable with solid core I could use which I know will be fine, however I would...
