RCD - where would you place them?

The only place for an RCD is on the main Cu.BUTare you aware that this is not a DIY job? You need to notify your local building control and pay the required sum of money. You will be cheaper (a yorkshireman) to get a local registered electrician in.

Cutting back tree stump to make room for fence base slab?

I did a flowering cherry many years ago and used the chain saw on the top of the stump to hollow it out and fill with "stump remover" Just get as low as you can, the "tap root" can go down several feet and can really take some moving.

    3 gang light switch installation

As you yourself stated in your original post, you have "A" twin and earth at the switch, this is as been pointed out NOT providing a neutral but live and switch live. You DO as pointed out need extra cabling from the original light fitting to provide a neutral at the new fittings.

    Question regarding safety?

First question, what type of cable has been used? Second, if twin and earth has the earth core been cut back? Third, is there enough slack to strip back and re-terminate?

    Pan connector

Problem solved. Thanks guys, especially Hugh. After having to drill off the screw heads and man-handle the pan to one side the 90deg coupler was removed and the blockage was found just after the joint. Now all back together and smelling of roses.

    Pan connector

Thanks Hugh. Did not really want to go that route as WC is close coupled and will need water supply disconnecting as well. OH WELL in for a penny :)

    Pan connector

There are three WC's on the main soil stack and the others are fine. The problem one is the top one. I have tried a "snake" through the "U" bend without success but don't know if the obstruction is in the internal run or the top section of main stack.

    Pan connector

Help! Is there such a thing as a pan connector with a rodding eye? We have a WC which is a good distance from the outside soil stack which is backing up and a "snake doesn't seem to do the job.

WHEN WILL IT ALL END ?
