POLICE SCUM BAGS and a 2 million reward

As has been said, the reward is being put up by the insurance company and it's a good move financially. With regard to rewards for information about crimes invovling the harming of children, what would you feel about someone who knows the identity of of such a criminal but only offers up the...

    near misses

Years ago felling trees we were doing a job where the trees were next to a public road, this meant we had to use a winch to direct the fall of those trees which would have naturally fell toward the road. I was winching one of these tree while my mate was cutting through the stump. As he made...

    Missing fingers incident.

I used to work at a sawmill, I'm missing a fingertip as it was trapped under a falling piece of wood - luckily the surface the wood met was not continuous otherwise the fingers either side would have been trimmed too! Also chained sawed my little finger due to overhead kickback and no chain...

    40 mil robery

Three arrested so far - it seems a woman went to make a cash deposit at her building society using notes which still had the Tonbridge label wrapper on them!

    car lights

I think Softus is right about this, take a look at http://www.opsi.gov.uk/si/si2005/20052559.htm I couldn't find a specific reference to bulbs but you might find something. On a slight tack, I do wonder about individuals' perspectives on use of lights. Driving home last night in murky...

12 weeks jail for killing 3 y/o girl.

The CPS can be a major problem in these cases, they will go for a charge for which they are 99% sure of getting a conviction hence the careless driving charge instead of causing death by dangerous driving. The sentence is a joke, perhaps we should have the 'three strikes' rule. Three convictions...

    Highland Games

The intended plan at the moment is to take the ferry from Larne to Stranraer, we will be in a car so mileage isn't too much of a problem (I'd prefer to go on my bike but the missus isn't so keen). It's now seems likely that it will be mid to late July not August. We like traditional things so...

    Highland Games

Does anyone know much about 'Highland Games' meets? Are they all pretty standard or are some better than others? It's likely I will be going to Scotland in the summer (probably August) so I thought I would go to a games as I have never been. Any info would be appreciated.

    Rubberneckers

On this section of motorway both carriageways can bee seen clearly for over a mile. It was clear that there was no obstruction, other than the 'ghouls', as someone as put it, ogling the scene and slowing to walking pace on our carriageway. All they are doing is adding to the problem.

    Rubberneckers

Isn't it about time this was treated as an offence and prosecutions undertaken!? This morning I was caught in a tailback from J2 to J5 on the M40 due to an accident on the opposite carriageway! There was no reason for our carriageway to have been delayed but the nobs just have to stop and...

I put up a bird box in my garden with the entrance facing east, nothing used it. I altered it so the entrance faced north and within days blue tits were using it.

    planning permission for garden equipment

If the building has a ridged roof it can be up to 4m tall (3m for flat roof). If it made predominantly from combustible material (e.g. wood) then it must be at least 1m from the boundary.
