Hiya all we have just had a new fence made and erected from floorboard wood(hope that makes sense!) but on the day it was finshed it poured down and the gate has swelled by about half an inch, meaning the catch wont fit on right. The builder said to wait till it drys out and goes back to shape...

oh right so i need a hss drill bit? how far above the window would i need to go to avoid the lintel?

also if i wanted to avoid the lintel how far above the window should i go?

hiya thanx for you reply iam not sure what you mean iam drilling above the left side window and can get about 2cm down then hit something hard? When i did the right window of the bay i had no problems? whats the lintel? Nick
