New cooker but wiring/socket is wrong, can you help?

I never negotiate on my price for a job. I will however make a reduction if the customer can do some of the donkey work for me i.e. lifting floorboards, clearing dust etc. As for your price we don't know how much work is involved in relocating cooker outlet & providing a bond to water...

    Flush mount masterseal socket?

I can't see any reason either, however the MK masterseal socket will still need to protrude at least an inch to allow lid to open fully and clearance for release catch on bottom. They are available in white if that improves the aesthetics.

    Flush mount masterseal socket?

Like you I've never seen them. Is it for aesthetic or practical reasons (like not protuding) the customer wants flush mount? Are they for permanent use or portable stuff if latter could they be located in a less visible place. Could the socket be recessed - a lot of brick bashing I know.

    17 edition consumer units

Maybe someone else here read the same article as me (can't find it at mo) but it referred to fully compliant CUs have each cct on RCBOs and a partially compliant CU splitting the installation across two or more RCDs. The latter being recognised as a practical/economic way, as the price and...

    Mk Sentry board question

I fit quite a few MK sentry CUs and I've never had a problem with slanting MCBs As mentioned the front cover wouldn't fit properly if they were askew unless blanking plates were missing! Also there shouldn't be any strain on the cabling to cause MCBs to move.

New Kitchen Installed - Is electrical work satisfactory?

That's in order then as that is your record of the work being notified to LABC under the self certification as compliant with Part P. As for the lack of RCD on socket ccts - the regs in Sept 07 only required RCD protection on sockets that could be used for portable equipment out doors (sic)
