Now I have read several posts on here about disputes between customers and trades and what is expected

For rewires and a majority of large jobs I draw up a contract with customer stating exactly what is to be done for the price quoted.

To save any misunderstandings my method of dealing with extras, change control and unforeseen ciircumstances are included.

I have comprehensive terms and conditions which the customer reads and agrees to before work starts.

My point is anyone considering employing a tradesman get a written agreement as to what is to be done and make sure you and the tradesman both understand what is included and what is not.

Absolute tripe - domestic customers have a plethora of statutory consumer rights, and none of these can be circumvented by anything that anyone puts in any contract.
