    spongy floorboards

When preparing the kitchen floor prior to tiling I found that the floorboard under the sink, against the exterior wall was soft and spongy about a couple of inches in. I have cut the rotten board out, but am wondering if this will be enough to prevent any further rotting, or will I have to take...

    Brake Problem?

I would have suspected a warped disc, but they have been replaced. When abs is activated the brake pedal pulses as the brakes are electronically released and applied again. As Softus says have the dealer check it out. Have the rear brakes been looked at as the drums, if it has drum brakeson rear...

    Imbalance in front braking efficiency

imbalance means that one side of your brakes is less efficient than the other. It should be fixed as it may cause the car to pull to one side when you brake, the harder you have to brake the more violent the pull will be It may be caused by one side of the brake caliper sticking and not pushing...

    possibly silly question about tiles

This may sound stupid to all experts, I am laying a tiled floor onto wooden floor. What I would like to know is can I use the flexible adhesive used for the floor tiles to replace a wall tile which I broke when preparing the floor.

Should i replace screed before laying parquet?

I read the original posting and cannot see why anyone can take offence at Gcol 's comments. It only implied that you are taking on a huge amount of work to acheive very little. I have found any comments made in many posts to be helpful, if a little humour offends that is a sad place to be .I am...

    Injector Treatment

the reason it says to add to a quarter tank then fill up is to make sure the cleaner is thoroughly mixed. so I don't think it will make any difference.

    gears

pretty sure the gear linkage needs adjusting then. When it is in gear is there a lot of movement in the gearstick? If there isn't much movement then adjusting the linkage should fix it.This involves slackening a 13 mm locking bolt then locking the linkage at the gearbox in position then moving...

    gears

Had a think(sometimes works) and it is more likely to be the gear linkage needing adjusted. On corsas this has to be done underneath the car. Does 1st and2 nd need pushed hard to the left to go in, if this is the case I would suspect the gear linkage. It is common with corsas , I believe...

    gears

You should avoid posting in the two forums as it gives me a sore head. On the corsa B The adjustment was at the gearbox end of the cable. If you want the clutch to release earlier you should tighten the adjuster at the threaded end. I don't know if your corsaC is the same. Hope this helps

Charging a car battery by driving it

You could invest in a portable power pack. Which is a 12v. battery in a carry pack with jump lead connectors, this could be kept in your house on a trickle charge and is a lot easier to carry than a regular spare battery
