    Patio construction advice

Hello I've just started constructing my patio (will be using Indian sandstone with West Hoathley bricks frog side down for the edging) and so far have excavated and created a 75mm type 1 sub base. In order to prevent lateral movement I have excavated a perimeter strip to a depth of 200mm...

    Induction hob-cable size

TTC Thanks very much for your reply, very helpful. If the DP isolation switch is within reach of the cable from the new hob is it ok to wire it straight in to the DP unit and skip the cooker outlet plate?

    Induction hob-cable size

eric I've done a fair amount of research on Neff Induction hobs and others and read lots of reviews and the point & twist seems very popular. Perhaps Neff came up with the point & twist design for the very reason that the touch controls were too fiddly and time consuming when you need to...

    Induction hob-cable size

Many thanks for all the replies. I've decided to go for a Neff T44T80N1 which I understand will draw 7.2Kw maximum. I would therefore imagine that my 6mm cable (7 metres long) connected to a 40 amp circuit breaker would suffice? Can anyone recommend the correct way of connecting the 6mm...

Thanks for your reply. In short if I were to buy this induction hob it must have a 10mm cable with 50amp breaker?

    Induction hob-cable size

Both circuits are installed with 40amp breakers. Just need to isolate the CU and change the CB's to the correct size if need be. For your info one cable only supply's the oven and the other only supply's the hob.

    Induction hob-cable size

Morning I'm thinking of buying an induction hob rated at 10.8Kw/50 amps. I have a 6mm cable in place already on a 40amp breaker although I'm thinking the 40 amp should be swapped for a 32amp? I've also got the oven on 6mm cable with a 40amp breaker should this too be 32amp? Both cable...

    Circuit breakers

I have a range of circuit breakers in my MK consumer unit which include B40, B32 B16 & B6. Would I be right in thinking that the B40 would be the correct breaker for 10mm cable supplying a cooker or Induction hob? Would the B32 be correct for supplying a kitchen ring or other ring main...

Tedd Todd oak flooring from Covers

Just opened the first pack in readiness for gluing to the concrete floor, however, the 2.2m & 1.5m lengths are bowing a fair bit! I have glued the first row in place using heavy weights to try and stop the bow whilst the glue sets. Any idea as to if this is normal or should I be taking it...

Thanks for the advice. I pva'd the dry looking parts and waited for it to go tacky which was pretty quickly and then gave it 2 coats of multi finish. Very pleased with the result so thanks very much to DM & M. While I'm here can I ask another plastering question? Where I've plastered...

    Help needed fairly sharpish!!

Thanks DM The wall in question is a garage door in-fill with concrete lintel above. The plaster over the block work is fairly dry though not gone dark yet, however, the plaster over the lintel is still pretty wet as lower suction underneath I suppose. Shall I wait until both areas have...
