I would cancel him and order one yourself (from Wilkes for example). The new one will fit directly on to the old wire box (no wiring required it 'plugs in') again assuming that we know the lower immersion element is serviceable.

Ok, the one I posted repleaces the one you have. Just to save reading the whole thread, do you have confirmed that the elements should both function? When you advance the clock does the main element come on (ie can you hear anything like a kettle beginning to heat up from inside the...

No requirement for DCV on standard kitchen/bathroom supplies. As long as you are using suitable taps backflow protection is via the air gap.

    DHW thru a towel warmer.

A customer, with unvented hot cylinder, has asked if it is possible to run the hot supply to a shower via a towel warmer so as to provide a small amount of heat to it while showering. Obviously in theory this is possible but ignoring the fact that the water will have cooled down somewhat by the...

Power Shower pump not starting - Showermate 1.4b Twin

How old is this pump? It sounds like you have it connected to all fittings toilet, taps and shower. Therefore it does a fair bit of work. Correct? Has it just suddenly stopped working or has it been progressive? Had it started sounding different when it was running? Motor brushes could...
