i have a potterton puma 100e with a myson compact cp51 pump fitted which needs replacing , i'm struggling to find anyone to supply this pump , does anyone know if there is a compatible pump , i bought a grunfos pump which i was assured fitted which it kind of did , it bolted on ok but leaked...

do you mean heating up the front part of the diverter valve ? if so how much should it need to be heated ? the back end of it is hot but the front end is cool is this normal ? thanks for the replies

hi all , i have a potterton puma 100 which i have just replaced the pump on , i put in some system cleaner and sludge remover , i have removed all radiators individually and flushed them through , and after putting everything back together i still have the same symptoms which are that the hot...

looks like i need a new pump , are there alternatives to buying the same pump ? screwfix do a couple of reasonably priced ones but how do you know if they are compatible ? what are the important things to compare ? thanks

i see what you mean now i think about it , anyway where would be the best place to fit a drain point to flush the system using the filling loop , the filling loop is connected to the return so if i connected it to the flow and opened both of them it would only flush through the boiler wouldn't...

have had a look around and i can't find a drain point to flush my system , i have however found a red stopcock below the boiler which is connected to both the flow and return pipes to and from the boiler , can this be used to isolate the boiler instead of using the red and blue plastic taps ...

thanks for the reply , went to check the pressure in the pressure vessel , made a bit of an arse of it trying to squeeze my pressure gauge in to place and let a fair bit of air out before i got a reading of 4.8 psi ,i think the pressure was possibly about right , have increased the pressure back...
