i have a potterton puma 100e with a myson compact cp51 pump fitted which needs replacing , i'm struggling to find anyone to supply this pump , does anyone know if there is a compatible pump , i bought a grunfos pump which i was assured fitted which it kind of did , it bolted on ok but leaked when i began to fill the system , any ideas much appreciated

cheers

fairly sure you can just fit another cp pump head. asfaik they all have the same impellor pattern.

thanks for the replies and sorry about the duff info i gave earlier

does anyone know why i can't seem to find a myson compact cp61 pump head only , the only one i've been able to find seems to come with the cast part too ( sorry don't know the proper name for this part ) and is nearly triple the price of the cp53 an cp63 ?

does anyone know why there is such a big difference in price ?

thanks again

fairly sure you can just buy a CP63, remove the head and swap the head of the old one. Should be about £40, rubbish pumps, but you have no choice !

have ordered a new pump , after fitting the new prv because the pressure was slowly dropping nothing has changed , while i had the system drained down i re-pressurised the expansion vessel which appeared to be down on pressure and after re-filling and bleeding the system the pressure still seems to be dropping (approx 1/2 to 3/4 bar in 24 hrs)

the prv activated last week and a friend of a friend took a quick look at it and said he thought it may have been an air bubble that had built up and eventually caused the prv to activate , we hadn't had any problems with losing pressure until the prv went last week

any other thoughts ?
