    Sewage smell, neighbours stench pipe

Both are main drains. There wasn't any pipes feeding the pond. There is also an old wall with substantial footings between the 2 properties. Thanks Neil

    Sewage smell, neighbours stench pipe

Hi, I've just completed a self build and moved in. I built it in my garden, split off the land and sold off my old house. Before we built the house I noticed a sewage smell in the far corner but put this down to a pond I filled in when I moved in. Last summer my rear neighbour erected a large...

    CCTV in new build advice

Thanks, think it's going to have to be soffit mounted as other cameras will look unsightly. Will it be worth it? I can mount on my detached garage Soffit but the cable run will be very long and be very close to the eclectic feed to the garage. Would this be a problem? Cheers

    CCTV in new build advice

Hi all, I'm completely new to CCTV and I'm building my own house. I want to install CCTV and really want the cameras installed in the soffits. As its a house the soffits are quite high, about 4m's. My worry is that the cameras won't be good enough to capture detailed pictures, especially at...

    Self Build - Alarm System

Thanks all, how would the hall be set up. I will have 2 windows in my hall. One would be vulnerable down the side of the house. If I have a door contact on the entry/exit zone and a PIR in the hall and somebody gains access through the window the PIR will detect them and set the alarm off. But...

    Slow Internet

I've had Internet speed issues in the past. You might be able to get BT to replace the main socket but as far as they are concerned they support everything up to the house including the cable. The master socket and internal wiring is your responsibility. If you are a BT customer you could...

    Honeywell Accenta setting issue

Hi, I'm new to the forum, I've had browse but couldn't find an answer to my question. I hope I have posted in the correct area. The alarm system in my house, which was already installed when I moved in, gave up. I have replaced it with a Honeywell Accenta G4 (8SP399A) with LCD panel and it...
