    Fitting a kitchen (electrics)

I think you only need to add an RCD if the circuit has been modified in anyway. Changing a socket face or light fitting shouldnt be classed as a modification? (if one then a minor), but in this case, cables will be being buried and possibly a new spur being brought of the ring main

    Fitting a kitchen (electrics)

This pretty covers the answer to your question john, I was thinking along the same lines. I think to a degree, I am also paranoid in that sense. From what I can gather, I should be safe to do the work and get an electrician to check after first fix, and check and test after second fix and...

    Fitting a kitchen (electrics)

What I meant by this was that work can only be certified by a qualified electrician, regardless of who done it. Meaning I couldn't certify it, I would have to get someone to check over it and test before certifying it. Aslong as I could get someone to test and inspect then think that should...

    Planning permission required or not?

I read the 30sqm thing, it is definitely less than 30sqm. However, I read this on planning portal. which I cant make head and tails of, The conservatory is 4.25m x 3.25m floor, It is not a listed building. LINK: http://www.planningportal.gov.uk/permission/commonprojects/conservatories

    Planning permission required or not?

How can it be proven when the conservatory was built in order to prevent the council saying it was done less than 4 years ago? I got January 2010 from a property search website, which shows previous sales of the house, it says "property details as of January 2010" and has a picture of the...

Okay, I have came to some sort of sense of his thinking, "Lectrician" what you said seems the obvious here so Im going on the basis that he genuinely didnt know what amp rating he needed, Im thinking hes either done one of the following, 32amp socket x 3 phases = 96amp, making him want...

    Underground cable size needed?

Hey, thanks for the responses, I was thinking 25-35mm would be the approximate range, 70mm seems very excessive. I dont know much details to be honest with you, i just got told to ask, It will be for agricultural use (workshop), I don't know why it is 100amps he is after, giving that for...

    Amtico Flooring Help?

Okay great, Is the pad I found online (on the link) okay to use? And wipe it up and down the grain of wood a few strokes then move on to the next part? Would I be correct in saying, giving the 30-60min drying time of the dressing that only mop the dressing on just so it wets the floor...
