    Pyronix Enforcer Sensor Replacement

Thanks - I'm struggling to remove the old one. Like I said I have the engineer code and I've got a manual but I can't work it out. I didn't think I was that thick! If I can remove the old one I can at least arm the rest of the system - at the moment I can't even arm the system which is a pain...

    Pyronix Enforcer Sensor Replacement

Hi I've received some great advice in the past here re. My alarm. The latest problem is due to building work - the sensor on my gate has been smashed off and I need to replace it. I have a new sensor on order, and know the engineers code. Is it a DIY job? To get the panel to learnt the new...

Bottom of Gravel board higher than grass

Thanks for the reply. O can't lower the gravel board as they are fitted to the height of next door's land. I'm thinking a border of some sort is the easier option. Cheers

Bottom of Gravel board higher than grass

Would anyone have any ideas on the neatest looking solution. I was hoping to grass to the fence without any borders but the sharp change in level won't look good. I hope the pic reflects the issue... Image by Steve335 posted 14 Aug 2016 at 11:47 PM

    Best wireless Alarm?

When I asked a similar question the helpful folk on here recommended a Pyronix Enforcer. I'm happy so far. Good luck

    Pyronix Enforcer Tamper on Input

Thanks for the info Europlex I just used packaging tape as its what I had to hand. It's probably better than insulation tape for this job. I will look out for a bargain though - £40 outlay to replace a 20p plastic casing hurts!

    Pyronix Enforcer Tamper on Input

Quick update thanks to both of you I fixed this issue by securing the snap out bit back in place with tape both sides. Cheers

    Pyronix Enforcer Tamper on Input

Ok I understand now thanks sparkymarka. I guess the snap out bit could be secured in place with some insulation tape as well. And thanks for going to the effort of providing the pic.

    Pyronix Enforcer Tamper on Input

Thanks for the replies chaps. Sparkymarka that sounds like a plan even if just temporary. Although I'm not quite sure what you mean I'm sure it will be clear when I disassemble it tomorrow. Will it keep going off while I work on it or does it stop once the code has been put into the panel...

    Pyronix Enforcer Tamper on Input

Thanks I suspect you could be right. When I pushed it back in place it looked like a piece of the casing had snapped on the rear of the sensor where it attaches to the door. Thanks again - looks like I will be needing the fitter back.

    Pyronix Enforcer Tamper on Input

The door sensor on my wireless Pyronix enforcer system took a knock this week. It's casing was knocked sideways... The end result is it has registered as a tamper and the whole system won't set now... I have the engineers code and just wondered if it was an easy fix? I don't want to guess and...

    Driveway marker lights

Sounds like solar would be much easier. Either marker posts stakes into the grass or driveway lights like these. http://mobile.festive-lights.com/solar-lights/super-solar-path-driveway-light-warm-white-led.html

    Kitchen Extension

Thanks again tomfe. We are based in the West Mids. You are probably right re. sticking to trend. Haven't considered two storey as I don't think we could stretch to it. Although I realise it's not double.

    Kitchen Extension

Thanks for responding - I realise my description was poor! I've sketched it out does that help at all?!

    Kitchen Extension

Ok here goes I'll try and explain this. We are looking at a Kitchen extension on a standard 1930's three bed semi. We want to widen and lengthen. Widening will involve the removal of the coal hole/outside WC, will need a steel the whole length as it's a supporting wall. Then what space is...

Thanks. I don't recall mentioning the remote Keypad. It's an all in one unit to replace the existing. Cheers

CATV boxes in pavement and dropped kerb application

You will have to pay an additional cost for any works on those. A dropped kerb can be anywhere between £500 @ £1200 - you could probably double or treble that if you have stats to relocate. But the LA should tell you who you need to approach.

    Alarm Ideas

Well it took a while but the new alarm is in as of today! My mate I referenced in the initial post fitted my a Pyronix Enforcer. Mates rates - I'm sure I couldn't have even bought the components for what he charged. Thanks for all the help.

Chasing cable in Lath & Plaster wall.

Sorry for the late reply and thanks for the help. I removed the trunking prior to plastering and will just refit smaller trunking for now and as suggested look at other options next time I have a sparky in. It's skirting board to ceiling but you only really notice the section that is proud of...
