Ban or Breezer You thoughts please!

Whatever you think of part p etc. anyone who has done a 2381 and testing and inspection course should now be able to install a circuit and test its safe operation. So ok you can say that they may not have experience of 3 phase supplies in rural farmhouses but to be honest they probably wouldn't...

    direct replacement in special locations.

Kier, My belief is that you can change any part as long as it isn't part of the gas system. So a pcb or fan would be ok but anything to do with the gas aspect would need to be done by a corgi fitter. Kev

    Energy Efficient Light Bulbs

These energy saving lamps do cause some issues with waste because each one contains a small "ballast" with precious and often toxic metals. So if you do use them make sure you recycle them (Ikea have bins for them to be recycled at). Kev

    16mm cable

It is very painfull to work with, and often won't fit into the terminals of showers e.t.c. They'd be better off selling it on ebay and buying the right size for the job (unless they have a long run in insulation and a powerhungry shower and cooker.

    Bathroom Extractor fan fitting question

You can also get them with humidistats which shut them down when the humidity gets below a certain level. I'd go with an inline if you can because they are much more powerful than the on the wall units. Kev Good luck with it. You could ask a plumber, sparks or a general...

Could be either. Often the cable (from the ceiling rose to the lamp holder) deteriorates. Which could cause the problem, or it could be the lamp holder contacts. Or something else..... Good luck with it. Kev
