why do you want to lay ply onto concrete ? you only need to overboard floor boards with ply, if the concrete is not good as sugested slc then tile or tile backerboard then tile.

the comment "Adhesive is quality one from wickes" worry's me not sure they sell any ! You could try the regrout with flexi grout like the bal superflex and hope for the best in my opinion you should of used tile backerboard instead of ply and as mentioned a quality trade floor flexy adhesive...

yes mate you can tile straight on it and i think they do it in b&q

the green stuff mate and you will need to tank any wet area's or you could use aquapanel and tile straight on it but personly i would put some proper fixings through it aswell as the dot and dab

if your happy with the job mate whats the problem even though £39 per m2 is a little steep for a bathroom fitter i charge £25 and do it for a living and did he tank your wet ereas i pusume you have a shower ?

did he include grout and addy in the m2 price ?

i have trimmed tiles in situ with the bosch version but an angle grinder would be better how many tiles do you need to cut stick up a picture plus angle grinders are leathull in the wrong hands :(

Don't see what Richard said wrong there mate !as tilers we cut our tiles ourselfs so we have no need to hire, you don't need a wetcutter to cut porcalain but you do need a good quality dry cutter it might be a good investment if you are to do more tiling, ring round all your local hire shops...

flexy addy can be used on walls aswell

bal or Mapei topps own brand stuff not too bad made by palace just make sure its a trade adhesive
