    Hi I've just modded my CH by adding upstairs rads to the existing circuit. Now I've had a couple of 'leakers' on 22mm Yorkshire fittings. Obviously I've not heated them enough on the bottom of the fittings. I repaired these by replacing with end-feed fittings. It's a different story...

    So was the system working before you fiddled to possibly dislodge a wire? You'll have a three-port valve (or 2 two-port valves) likely to be near your cylinder. Check that this valve opens when tank stat or CH stat is calling. Quite probably the motor is goosed so not making the micro-switch...
