Ravenheat 82e combi boiler fuse keeps blowing

Agile would the gas valve blow the 2amp fuse in the main pcb board. I know its not the pump or fan blowing it as ive had the pump disconnected and it still blew the fuse but if i have have the board away from the gas valve solenoid the fan runs so wont be fan. I know its a very old boiler but...

Ravenheat 82e combi boiler fuse keeps blowing

Ok board it is. Any idea how does the gas valve work so i can get a better understanding. Is it just a relay which opens and closes. On the manual diagram it does show the diagram of the bit where the ignition board connects to the gas valve. I've uploaded a pic of the diagram

Ravenheat 82e combi boiler fuse keeps blowing

Yes but the fan is running when you disconnect it from the gas valve so it wont be that. Checked the resistance on the fan and im getting 53 ohm which is fine.

Ravenheat 82e combi boiler fuse keeps blowing

So its the gas valve. How does it work inside. I thought it was just a relay that opens and closes the gas so the relay is always live so how would it short if all terminals in the relay are live? Thing is if i connect the ignition board back to the gas valve but disconnect the fan it doesn't...

drilling noise when hot water is turned on

Pipes are secure. Its only when you turn the lever to hot side its banging constantly like a hammer drill. If i open it half way theres no banging but when the tap is opened fully the water slows right down and the drilling sound starts and stays like it untill the tap is closed or half closed...

    cleaning stuck diverter valve

Wot about silicone spray to keep it lubricated as silicone spray is waterproof. The valve is working again so no need to replace it just yet.

    cleaning stuck diverter valve

I haven't tried opening it yet, but ive freed the valve. I ran tap water from the top of the diverter where water comes in from the heat exchanger just to test which way the water goes in the diverter valve and it was going to the ch flow pipe and when i released the diaphragm it was still...

    cleaning stuck diverter valve

Thanks for that i will have a go at it. So a good valve should be able to be push in and out with screwdriver? Or wont it move like that?

    cleaning stuck diverter valve

Where did you get the complete kit from? Ive got the diaphragm kit but doesnt include the other bits to do the other end of the valve? So i basically need to unscrew the washer looking thing with 2 cut out tabs at the end of the diverter valve and it should come apart? Also should the pin at...

    cleaning stuck diverter valve

Yeh diaphragm is knackered but it was doing its job otherwise the pin wouldn't come in and out. How would you get to the second bit of the diverter valve? How would you open it up? I can see there is washers and a pin through the holes.

Also while the im running the hot water rads were getting warm too so i suppose diverter is stuck on c/h. Ive removed the diaphragm and looks ok no holes but the other side...
