did it go bang :shock: cus you dont wire the n/o to the incoming neautral supply n/o means normally open. pipe stats dont have neutral connections. neautral to pump neutral live to common on stat n/c or n/o to live on pump depending on what you want it to do

Often overheat of immersion is caused by the primary heat source heating the water hotter then the oh stat is set to. For example if the cylinder is connected to a rayburn. If this is the case just bypass the oh stat

Presume you checked the expansion vessel

They are wired to a bell that rings to tell you the temperature has lowered from the cooker therefore needing more fuel, or the the temperature is excessive and it may explode ( bigger bell )

If its feeding an unvented cylinder it needs to be a bit of a beast, not the crappy little undersink type. Even though you will be told the small ones can cope with the flow with a hi flow head and hard plumbed in say 22 copper, the resin chamber needs to be able to cope with the flow...

Suppose you could always get some pipe stats! Should do the job nicely Honeywell do them amongst others they do high and low ones.

If there is water in bottom tray its new boiler time dont spend a penny on this one. Your repair guy is pulling your pants down getting cash of you now and when you come down to find water everywhere anjd need a new one

definately sounds like coil breakdown, the riello coils seem to run longer when breaking down but good news is they are only about 7 notes
