you could treat it with preservative but id reccomend that you also wrap the ends in dpc or similiar on the ends where it has any contact with brick/stone etc

iv got a little 1.9 diesel vw polo im breaking for spares at the moment and thought the return hoses look very similiar so i just took them off low and behold would you believe it the injectors are exactly the same?!?!?!?!?!?! vag and ford using same parts!?!?!?!?! so iv swapped them all...

there are 3 wires coming out of the rear of the pump but cant get access to them and have no idea what they are for! if i disconnect one of the nuts at the top of the injector i get a bit of fuel coming out at low pressure but am i right in thinking that the pressure actually builds up inside...

i had a very similiar problem with an e36 bmw. after paying some so called autoelectrician to diagnose and replacing all the parts he showed me on the printoff and also changing rear silencer all to no avail it turned out it was a few little air leaks on some hoses, tightened all the jubilees...

pmsl burnerman!!! the filter is full to the brim and iv already used certain kitchen crockery to fill it until it spilled out, however didnt have the sense to return it, never mind via the dishwasher! :twisted: therefore if i never respond back to this post again i would like you to assume...

hi thanks for your reply i appreciate that its nigh on impossible to diagnose what it is! im kinda on the same idea as you ie fuel just hoping for some suggestions and fixes to what i can do to the seperate components of the fuel system to try either rule things out or hopefully get a fix :D...

hi guys iv tried easy start but to no avail. i will order a new fuel filter and try that the air filter is new anyway. iv took of the rail and turned engine over but diesel was just dripping out rather than at pressure

yes it ran like a dream, it had a full engine rebuild 1500 miles ago and was brilliant up until i tried to start it again after being parked up for a while

hi, to be honest the oil will be around 2 years old but has only covered around 500 miles in all that time
