How easy would it be to move this Boiler Isolation switch?

The two cables are running through the same conduit (should have said that sorry). The boiler is somewhat above the switch itself. I don't know why it didn't just go straight up through the ceiling tbh rather than half way to the kitchen then up.

How easy would it be to move this Boiler Isolation switch?

We moved into a house last year and are about to decorate the hallway. It's a smallish hallway and there is a switch (The boiler isolation switch) stuck right in the eyeline as you walk in. Our plan is it literally move in 3-4feet to the left and 'hide' it (not box it in) with a plant. As you...

Dewalt (DWHT77100-XJ) laser measure - WAY off?

No. Honestly they're really good. I just had a dodgy one. I managed to get them to agree to take it back. The new one is spot on again. I think if you're planning on doing a lot of 'alcove' or internal measuring they're brilliant.

Dewalt (DWHT77100-XJ) laser measure - WAY off?

Thank you. It was accurate when we first purchased it though which is odd. Literally bang on the dot. We tried it for short distances and the length of the garden 10m. Bloody thing lol. The surface was breeze block, Painted walls (matt) and one was tile. Currently in contact with toolstation...

Dewalt (DWHT77100-XJ) laser measure - WAY off?

It says per 10m. Agreed but watching a few independent reviews on youtube say it's fine for DIY'ers. It doesn't have to be that accurate but 2-3cm's off is going a bit far.

    Wooden lean to/Conservatory(?)wall insulation question

Thank you for your help! I think the main culprit is an overflowing waterbutt. You can kind of see it under all the brambles in that photo. It was over flowing on left side and had been for over a few years by the look of the mould and fungus. Looks like it just kept the wood utterly soaked...

    Wooden lean to/Conservatory(?)wall insulation question

I'm so sorry for the late reply. i didn't get any notifications of a reply! Yep, the rotton wood is on the outside and has been removed. There IS insulation but it looks like cheap roof wool insulation about 2cm thick but it's in a plastic bag?! Never seen that before I have covered it back up...

Dewalt (DWHT77100-XJ) laser measure - WAY off?

Hi. Sorry if this is a dopy question. I purchased a Dewalt laser (DWHT77100-XJ measure from Toolstation 5 months ago and have only used it once (to try it) and it was purchased in a sale with plans to use it when carrying out replacing a roof of the conservatory which I am now doing. I took it...

    Wooden lean to/Conservatory(?)wall insulation question

Hi. Sorry if this is a dumb question but we moved into this house last year and it has a conservatory (Thats how it was described but i'd say it's a lean to). The past owners said the whole thing is insulated except for the small right side. The wood on this side is rotten and i'll be replacing...

Consumer unit - If i need to change a light pendant Will turning off the one switch be enough?

Thank you for the reply. Ah, i see what you mean. Our landing light has upstairs and downstairs switch which makes sense. The three lights are in the bedrooms and only have one on and off switch. Does that make any difference? I can turn the main switch off but i'd have to turn it on every...

Consumer unit - If i need to change a light pendant Will turning off the one switch be enough?

Hi. This may be a really silly question - I need to change a 4 pendant lights UPSTAIRS. I have changed them many times but when I do I normally turn the MAIN switch off. For years I've been told "Just turn the one switch off, in this case the upstairs lights (circled in red) When i turn it...

Is it possible to find a 3/4inch to 3/4inch with valve?

Bit hard to explain.. but here goes lol Due to the layout of the house it would be costly to get a tap out the back of the house and we don't really need it that often. So, i am using a splitter attached to the washing machine inlet and I was attaching the hose to this everytime we needed it...

Is it possible to find a 3/4inch to 3/4inch with valve?

Ty! I didn't spot that. Not sure why it didn't load but i've repasted the link. thank you!

Is it possible to find a 3/4inch to 3/4inch with valve?

Hope it's okay to ask but I'm looking for something like this but with 3/4inch on both sides? It's for a garden hose connector. I need something with a valve to be able to just turn it off rather than going to the tap. I did buy a VERY over priced one from Amazon £9.99 but when it turned up...

Multitool: New Titan WITH bits and case vs Second hand Dewalt without bits or case

I recently picked up a titan hammer drill with a chisel feature and it's been AMAZING! Literally broke through fencing post concrete like it was nothing. I think you're right. i'll go with the titan. I can always upgrade later on if i find it more useful than expected. Thank you!

Multitool: New Titan WITH bits and case vs Second hand Dewalt without bits or case

That's what does worry me. It looks in good condition but so much could go wrong. I had a dewalt mitire saw and it packed up after a weeks of use and that was from brand new. At least with the new one i'd have a warranty.

Multitool: New Titan WITH bits and case vs Second hand Dewalt without bits or case

Hope it's okay to ask. I am planning on buying one for a few jobs around the house. Mainly cutting wood (door frames, old cladding and using the sander for getting in the corner of furniture every now and then). I've never used one before so i may end up finding lots of other little uses for...

    Shiplap Wood costs... Really?!?!

That may be something we will look at in the future. Seems like the better option but to do just one side it would cost around £300 >_< Its a bit out of our pricerange at the moment sadly. I guess we could just do the smaller side with them and take off all the wood. Ty for the info!
