    Very Loud Humming / Droaning Noise

    as taydo said, try the cold water first. when the hammer occurs check the loft. then the toilet cistern. if that doesn't work, turn the kitchen tap on first(cold) then flush the toilet. then turn a cold tap on in the bath room and see if the hammer stops. do each one separately

    not fitted one, but condensing drain of springs to mind, ie location of discharge. just something to think about in the early stages of plaining.

    Thanks for your help. Just one before i go out and shop, I have found that when I find a twin impeller pump it usual says, to give your shower better pressure. My question, is that just a sales pitch, can they be used for boosting the pressure through out the house :roll:
