You need to isolate the hot and cold then remove the stoppers and fit washing machine valves then refill.

Robert dyas are doing a good package for £100 which includes the T- racer patio cleaning head and yes you use the hose inconjunction with the washer. Normal mains pressure from the tap should be adequate.

If the boiler isn't lighting up at all after resetting I think the problem may lay with the gas valve.
