Do I need fire rated downlighers?

We're selling our home and the buyer has requested an EICR. We booked someone to do it, who turned up last night but just had a look around. From walking through the door, all he did was pick faults. "That's a fail", "Those need changing", "That consumer unit is a fail". He didn't do a report...

Price for artificial grass installation, and some questions.

We're looking at replacing our 4x9 lawn with artificial grass. We've had someone out who has given us a quote to remove 100mm, put down grade 1, a weed barrier and granite dust, then install a timber boarder along with a pressure treated timber frame to fix the grass down to. The grass itself...

Can you get a slimline square gutter right angle

I've set it in place. It still needs fixing to the wall, but it's a million times better. Thanks for the suggestions.

Can you get a slimline square gutter right angle

I've gone ahead and made my own. First time I've done this, but it looks ok and I don't think it's going to look out of place once installed.

Can you get a slimline square gutter right angle

That had crossed my mind. I've ordered the bits to do it the way suggested by another poster, but I'll also try fabricating my own low profile one too, I've got nothing to lose.

Can you get a slimline square gutter right angle

It won't look as good as it did, but, it might be my only solution.

Can you get a slimline square gutter right angle

Here's another picture with all angles in place, as you can see, the down pipe is 3" from the wall. I could attach a piece of wood to the wall but then I'm unsure of whether I can return the downpipe to get it closer to the wall. This is my first time installing guttering.

Can you get a slimline square gutter right angle

This is what I'm dealing with. The return is just far too narrow for another 90 degree angle. Ideally it looks like I need slimmer right angles, or I need a piece of guttering that's moulded to a right angle that you can cut to size

Can you get a slimline square gutter right angle

I'm trying to find one of these https://www.directplastics.com/guttering-downpipes/white-gutters-and-downpipes/square-white-gutter/square-gutter-angle-90-deg-white but one that's a little more slimline but I can't seem to find any online? I've got some guttering to fit, but the problem is I...

Can anyone identify the manufacturer of this Ogee guttering?

Yep, checked, couldn't find one anywhere. In the end, I ordered new square guttering and downpipes, cost £100 and now it'll match the rest of the house anyway.

Can anyone identify the manufacturer of this Ogee guttering?

It's from an extension that a builder did a while ago, and I suspect it was just what he had left over from another project. I'll probably end up having to replace the guttering, it's only on the neighbours side of our garage and doesn't attach to any other guttering.

Can anyone identify the manufacturer of this Ogee guttering?

We've had some rendering done on the house and I need to buy some extra bits to make the guttering fit again, problem is, I have no idea who the manufacturer of the guttering is as there's no name or logo anywhere.

Dulux matt, but it looks more like satin

Sorry, here is a picture of the tin. I've also attached a picture showing how reflective the wall is too.

Painted gloss stick tacky after three weeks

Sorry, my mistake, it was Armstead Quick Dry Satin that he used. https://www.duluxdecoratorcentre.co.uk/armstead-trade-quick-dry-satin I'm not interested in getting the guy back, would just be really interested to know how I can correct it myself?

Painted gloss stick tacky after three weeks

We had a decorator out last month who painted all of our varnished woodwork white. He used Zinzer B.I.N, then a primer and finally some Armstead Vinyl Matt. It all looks great but there's a couple of issues. The first is after three weeks the pain is tacky to touch. It doesn't come off in your...

    Solar Panels, main cable thickness

Thanks for that. I've explained to the installers where we'd like the cable to run, and they didn't have any objections. Where the cable it going is a strange place on a small landing at the top of the stairs. We have two bedroom doors each with a small gap between them, I'm chase for the...

    Solar Panels, main cable thickness

We're having a 4kw solar system fitted to our home this week. I'm in the process of chasing a run down a wall ready for the cables from the inverter to our consumer unit to sit in. Does anyone know roughly what the total thickness of this cable is likely to be, just so I know I've made enough...

    Galaxy G2 RF Fail

Powering down the system seems to have resolved most of the issues, but now we have a couple of PIR sensors that don't seem to be working when I do a walk test. I've checked the last signal for these zones and they're showing as 0/10. I guess I should try re-pairing them up to the system to see...

Hi GalaxyGuy, How do I power cycle the rf portal? How do I find out which firmware it's running?
