    Yes if you think the rad is not dirty/discoloured. It is rare that gloss or satinwood covers in one coat, even if you use 'Solo' or 'Once'.

    Well .... I have never known u/c to "crack" in a "hot" situation. Also .... I would never apply "one" coat of gloss to anything.

    I would recommend applying an oil based primer to the plasterboard before the PVA. Just thinking of the person who decides to remove your tiles at a later date.

    All plasterboard should have a solid coat of oil based primer applied before people apply wallpaper or tiling, to facilitate easy stripping at a later stage. In your case I would agree with jasonb and have a 'rip out plasterboard' party 8)

    This depends if the plasterboard had an oil based primer applied. You will discover soon after starting your stripping.     Yes, make sure rad' is turned off tho' to prevent paint/brush drying on you. 'Yellowing' will not occur for 10+ years with modern paints.

    I would recommend applying an oil based primer prior to sizing with thin coat of paste. Its impossible to remove wallpaper at a later date without destroying the plasterboard if thisd process is skipped.

    Thanks andy, yes its the second one. It descends below the w'top when not in use. Mmm B&Q are half the price!
