What's an A/D button? I looked up on www.ukfree.tv and shows I can get the channels in my postcode, but wonder if I need a 'bigger' / stronger arial?

I am doing a bit of DIY arial maintenance. I am splitting the cable outside to then run into the lounge and bedroom. I have all the relevent connector boxes, cable etc etc but I have a question. How do you cut the cable to then fix the Connectors to it and do I use satellite connectors...

Thanks Thermo - I think that is exactly the answer, it's something to do with the damp coursing and he hasn't concreted the gap, it's been filled with slate chippings...does that sound above board?

Spoke to builder today. He said reason for pointing and some movement in slabs around the edge was the hard frost we have had. He is coming back to fix the errors. The gap around the edge is because of a rule saying you can't fix slabs right up the house???

Firstly, thanks to one and all for your comments.... Last question, how much roughly would it be to replace the expansion vessel on this boiler?

When I have to repressurise the pressure is not even on 1 bar....the external pipe does have discharge, which I presume is ok? We just got in from being out all day so no hot water or heating used and we had the EII9 CODE as presumably the system was cold and the pressure was just about 1...

In answer to both your comments: Not sure about the external pipe, but sometimes there is a small drip from the valve when I top the pressure up. Don't think there is any other leaks. Expansion vessels - what are they?

We have the above boiler, which was installed about 2 years ago. We had a few initial teething problems and had the installer back and forth, but all settled down for the past 18 months. The last week, EVERY Morning without fail I have had to re-pressurise the boiler as it showed E119 error...
