pan connector, what type is this?

Thanks for that, shame it's not long enough to extend all the way from the stack to the back of the toilet, what's the best when to join to 110mm OD pieces, as i'd need to cut back that white bit i took at (110mm OD) bring it out just proud of the inside wall and then some how connect it up to...

pan connector, what type is this?

Now you mention that, it certainly does  I take it the soil pipe was mean't to terminate as it enters the house and then a proper pan connector inserted and taken up to the toilet? What do you reckon?

pan connector, what type is this?

This should really be dead easy :) , but please can anyone tell me the proper name for this type of soil/pan connector (see images below), it's upvc about 700mm long and pushes directly into the soil stack, one end expands out to 110mm to take the pan connection on the back of the toilet, the...

piping up to a pedestal and sink

its a single mixer tap, with copper tails that are tight side by side which terminate just above the waste fitting - the waste is 2/3 up the pedestal and exits through the wall - i'd prefer to use flexis, but i'll use what is best for the job if they are not advisable.

piping up to a pedestal and sink

Do you bring them out halfway up the pedestal, so you can get around the waste pipe or right up just before the tap tails/connections?

piping up to a pedestal and sink

The hot and cold feeds run directly under the sink, and in terms of what would look better - bringing them up directly through the floor inside the pedestal would, although thinking about it that method doesn't seem to offer the pipes much support other than then the tap connection itself. Up...

piping up to a pedestal and sink

What's the preferred/recommended way to pipe up hot and cold to a bathroom sink? Come up directly from the floor below, up inside the pedestal to half height and then use flexs etc to connect upto the taps? Or chase the pipes into the back/supporting wall and bring them out (half height lets...

    tiling on chipboard

I bought my sheets (10 in total) for £7.48 inc from tilersmerchants.co.uk ( http://www.tilersmerchants.co.uk/Tile-Backing-Products-No-More-Ply/ ) Early days yet but feels sturdy - seems solid/secure enough, no perceptible bounce/movement etc, expensive granted but floor height would have...

mains sockets and and network faceplates

Hi, It's all in now, network seems to be working fine - i haven't noted any drastic packet loss (in laymans terms of speed), how much would you expect to lose, can you substantiate/quantify e.g 50%, 30% ? What would you recommend as a comprehensive test that i could perform? Part of the...

    Roaming Profiles?

How beefy is the server, roaming profiles depending on how many users you have, can take up a lot of space on the server, not to mention the continual copying backwards and forwards of profiles/settings to various machines as users move from one pc to another, will your network bandwidth...

mains sockets and and network faceplates

I want to mount a 4 port network faceplate about 2 inches away (ideally, space an issue) from a mains double socket, is this likely to pose a problem with interference? What's the recommended distance between rj45 faceplates and mains sockets? It's unshielded twisted pair cat5e running to the...

    Question for the pros.

Thanks guys, i was there for ages thinking about the best way to get around it, sort of resigned myself to doing it that way as i couldn't sit around any longer doing nothing - it didn't feel right having a fitting directly over a joist but tried and couldn't get anything else to work -...

    Question for the pros.

Just moving a couple of bedroom rads around, and wanted to know if it's acceptable to do the following (see picture below) - I can't get behind the joist to bring the pipe up, nor can i bend the pipe tight enough for a true 90 elbow without notching the joist further, so i've used a...
