after taking the element out and testing on ohms and continuity...theres no reading across the terminals...?

i forgot to mention that it is a washing machine element, is the principles still the same.

i want to test my heater element because the water is not getting hot...if i put a multi tester set to continuity across the heater terminals and get no reading.could the element be faulty ? this is with the appliance unplugged.

well i put the probes on each of the terminals of the heater element and there was no reading, so i can take it that the element is ok?.

i'm guessing that with it not heating the water up, the first thing to check would be the heater element?...this is with electric off. if i do a continuity test across the terminals, if the needle doesn't move can i assume the element is nackered.

i've gone back to amazon to buy my camera...the trouble is theirs hundreds and hundreds of cameras on the market and it's mine field, i mean ive looked at cameras that where nearly identical from the same manufacturer and just because they changed a button location,it's called the fx2...

as anybody heard of www.simplyelectronics.net they are selling a camera that i'm interested in...i'll be paying by debit card and not a credit card. how do you tell if it's a safe site.?
