    upvc clad timber framed extension

Definately feasable, I built the exact thing two years ago, put some decent footings in, dwarf walls, timber framing, tiled roof, insulated, vapour membrane, plastered . Dropped in a french door, window and clad it in Upvc, cost £3000 all in. Did most of the work myself apart from the timber...

    Conifer going brown

We lost two of these this earlier this year and driving round my area there are loads that are struggling or dead, I reckon the winter did for them. One house near me has a line of ten of them, dead as doornails the lot of them.

    Cooker circuit spur

Red or Brown Sauce? I`d love to run a new cable from the CU but that would be a nightmare for loads of reasons, it really is my only straighforward option at the moment. It actually is the only socket on the whole of the back wall of the house, to spur from any other would mean ripping up...

    Cooker circuit spur

Hi there, I have a cooker circuit that i`d like to use to supply the power to a conservatory that i`m building at the moment. The cooker circuit is being fed from a 32a mcb and terminates in a standard 13a double socket above the cooker. I have a gas cooker so the socket is only being used...

    NO LINTELS?

This exact problem was mentioned in our homebuyers survey we had on our 1940`s semi a couple of years ago. The bloke who did the survey must have been on something that day though as he correctly pointed out small cracks rising upwards from each corner of the UPVC windows, but failed to...

    What would cause these cracks?

I had a similar problem in my bedroom. Discovered it was caused by drying clothes on the radiator directly below the affected area.
