    Composite deck issue

At a guess, use a heat source, hot air gun etc. please don’t rush out and try it without more research. This method is used on automotive plastics so felt it worth suggesting. Failing that can you turn the boards over or move to another location?

Structural issues on proposed purchase - what do they mean

I think it is all pretty straight forward. 1 - Yes 2 - Yes 3 - Yes 4 - Possibly linked but wouldn’t know without inspection 5 - This would be carried out independently of the roof replacement. You builder can advise the best way to approach it 6 - you could re-render the full house but unlikely...

curtain rail screw pulled out of wall

There are plenty of videos on you tube to repair holes in poster board by basically filling the circular hole with cut plasterboard and filling etc That would get you a nice finish but the problem is then reattaching the curtain pole. What’s left inside the hole?

Mahogany Woodgrain Aluminium Bifolds & Windows

Can you not order before they discontinue it? Failing that there are companies that advertise painting of existing windows doors. Bespoke UPVC are near me. May be worth seeing what they (or similar) can do if you are out of options

UPVC composite door not closing properly - latch hitting

It isn’t then adjustment screws it is the hinge mounting screws. Their door was also level but having tried the usual methods I tried the mounting screws and it must have pulled the door slightly which made the difference. I have attached an image which shows the mounting holes where the screws...

UPVC composite door not closing properly - latch hitting

My parents front door has a tendency to pop out of the jeep when pushed close which then involves lifting the handle to engage the latch and keep it in position. May be different on your door but the hinges that attached to the door have three screws into the side of the door. I found they had...

    Interior Door Handles Stuck Together

It could be that someone has previously used glue to fill the screw holes. We have similar handles and the screws are so piddly I had to reinforce the holes with glue. i wondered if they had inadvertently been glued in place as well? Assuming the caps have been unwound and the screws on either...

Winching up replacement window frame from concrete lintel?

At 30-40kg this should be manageable and no need for a winch. As mentioned take it up stairs internally and pass through the window. It shouldn’t be as challenging as you are envisaging

We have almost completed selling house but neighbour has just applied for planning permission

Speak to your conveyancer. The property form would be dated when you signed and returned it and of course the planning letter would be dated. At the time of completing the form you knew nothing about the proposals. I assume you don’t engage much with the neighbours however?

My Mrs was showing me some before and after pictures of someone she follows on Instagram. They took 20 year old yellow patio flags and painted them with Everest concrete paint in grey. The result was impressive and was applied quickly with a masonry roller but I cannot tell you anymore than...

Alternatives to trim to edge/cap installed tiles?

Okay another thought. Can you put a mosaic section up the wall perhaps up from the middle of the bath? Again you can carefully remove the tiles, then using mosaic tile backer sheets to create the feature. You can then use the tiles across the top of the room. i appreciate it is dependant upon...

Alternatives to trim to edge/cap installed tiles?

Possibly a daft idea. Can you remove tiles from another area of the bathroom with the intention of refitting at the top? providing you have the required areas protected with tiles it may work but without seeing a picture of the full room it’s difficult to know. I can see why you want to sort...
