    We have around 12000 computers on site, and I can hand on heart tell you dell power supplies are appauling (this was in the GX Range) We only bought around 400 of these and never again. We a primarilly a HP (compaq) site and I think I have only ever seen maybe 10 HP's with faulty PSU's...

    Are the plugs red and say EPOS in white on them? They are also available in blue IIRC for UPS's We use them in comms rooms for free standing equiptment as they prevent accidental removal. Push in and then turn clockwise 45degrees. David

    smash a hole through the wall and ask them to push it out and shove it in a meter box.. will still probably cost the same, even with 'no' disconnection! They also have to cover there arses insurance wise etc.

    in the cu I would leave around 1" exposed.. At the Henley.. Non should be visible IMHO.. Tape or coloured cable tie should be used to indicate phase colour (not nececarilly needed imho) David

    I also would using sleving and solder rather than chock blocks. but thats me. Breezer, Cheers for explaining that, allways wondered how the 'bigger' alarms coped with more detectors and seemingly less cables. David

    Also technically speaking low voltage lights may take a tiny bit more power as the transformers arent 100% efficient. Id personally use mains ones, as I hate the thought if the transformers failing.
