    Baxi eternal overflow leaking.

you have a lot of words there. unfortunately they are somewhat jumbled up. a picture paints a thousand words. you've got a back boiler, you've had two new/replacement rads/rails fitted. c5 is a fire. all the pipes are lead & copper. you have an old safety valve on the primary's...

Ripped off by some parts merchants

Re Parts Center. never been charged to restock, even brought back pcbs no problem. i've even been on stop (rubbish at paying on time) & still get parts. i've ordered one part & five have arrived in the one bag. apparently it was my lucky day. it all depends on the guy behind the counter...

    Which boiler please

may i draw your attention to 'Central Heating System Specifications (CHeSS) Year 2005' document page 6, item 6. "For gas boilers, the distinction between bands A and B is small, and standard tests do not measure the difference reliably. Consequently, it is not cost effective to purchase...

    Replace PRV...

just to play devils advocate. the prv is a boiler safety device. not involving the gas train, flue etc.but a safety device none the less. i've seen prvs plugged off & gunked up with silicone to stop them leaking (i realise no one is advocating this). if the ev was to loose its charge or...

Vertical Designer rad on 8mm microbore?

i don't recognise the valves so i cant really comment apart from aesthetically i think they look ugly & cheap imo. towel rails don't look good with microbore pipework. my personal choice would be to use 15mm chrome plated pipework (if chrome rail) reduced under the floor.
