    Electric socket under sink

On our waste disposal I'm getting a fused switch fitted on a spur from the ring, then running the wire inside the cavity down to a flex outlet plate. The waste disposal is switched by a vacum switch mounted to the sink, the fused switch is just for isolation.

Installation Of Pop Up Kitchen Socket

Thanks, fused it is then. It's only having a 5amp toaster occasionally pugged into it. 13A fused fitted, I'll never get near the 20A rating of the device.

Installation Of Pop Up Kitchen Socket

That was my thinking behind using a FCU. But then I started thinking that you could take a socket on a spur from a ring, so there is little difference (except the spillage issues of course). From waht I can make out the cable is rated to 20A.

    Stainless Splashback Earth Bonding

As part of the kitchen re-modeling we are popping in some stainless splashbacks, two of them have socket cutouts in. My question is do they require earth bonding as they have sockets it them as there is the potential, albeit small, for the splashback to become live.

    What Would You do?

That's what eveybody thinks about new cars, trust me, there will be rail dust & all sorts on the paint. After a month or two these start to corrode & only a good clay will get them off properly.

Supply For Boiling Water Tap & Waste Disposal.

It is on a ring, I checked. Still want to get the double socket replaced with two fused switches, we have plenty of sockets & this double is a nice distance from the sink area, then use the output from the two fused switches for the waste disposal & the boiling water tap.

    What Would You do?

Supaguard is crap. Take it to a decent detail, someone like this chap will charge you about £130 to sort the paint to a very high standard & will take real car whilst doing the work - www.thedetaildoctor.co.uk
