    There has never been a drop in the boiler pressure or signs of leaking on the ceiling etc but I'll check this out Spare room, no teenagers in the nearby zone ;) Gas was turned off, gas detector, no gas pipes nearby and only in this one room....

    Thanks for the reply. The Drayton site states that all Drayton time switches have volt free contacts and looking at the LP241 if you don't include the link from L to terminal 1 they appear to be volt free. Is there more to it than this though?
