    My point Tony, and thanks for the reply, the two rsj's bolted together are 270mm, which to be honest is the cavity wall thickness, the rsj is fine. The padstone calculation seems way out..

    That's cleared that up then ☺️ There are many types of cavity trays pre formed,Aso ones that are formed DIY, would this be using visqueen or the 600mm dpc you buy on rolls. From my earlier image,what would you recommend ?? I have a load of visqueen left from concrete slab. Thanks in advance

    Yes I understand need to keep in gauge,was just worried with the height of the first cut within lintel only 50mm along the row,can't see anything online regarding building regs,regarding hight of blocks,only that 150mm overhang required for lintels.
