hi you can do it the same way as any other concrete job. Get a piece of wood to go against the step, fill the step with concrete, level with spirit level, cover with plastic sheeting or something and allow to set as normal. if you want to still get into the cellar, do every other step, wait...

does the pressure washer not damage brickwork? there are also some mortar stains where new bricks have been added to block up vents etc. i've had a brush and water on these, it doesn't seem to have shifted much. also how do i stop this happening again when i do the pointing? thanks

i have a budget of about £300 but i am unsure on what sort i want. i would prefer electric as i do a bit of building work and i am always cutting wood for stud walls etc. but at the mo the skirting boards are the priority. any ideas would be greatly appreciated. ian
