    Consumer units

Read somewhere on this forum that consumer units were cheap on ebay. A wylex 12way split board with all mcbs supplied £60. On TLC, can only get board with main switch and RCDfor that price. Is there a catch? Sounds too good to be true :?:

    height of cu

I will check this out with BCO Monday. Still sounds silly to me. To make installation look tidy cu's have been mounted just below ceiling to hide cables. To have it at max 1200mm need a rather large channel in a solid wall to hide cables. I know what your saying about disabled people but where...

    height of cu

Sounds daft to me to have cu max 1200mm off floor. Ok, for disabled people it would be needed, but what about inquisitive 4 yr olds. Just finished 1st fix, have left enough cable for this but surely this is wrong(another bottle of wine opened!)

Let me get this right (i've had a bit to drink) surely ur not implying that cu comes into same regs as sockets and light switches, between 450mm and 1200mm

When insulating using above on attic trusses, do you insulate down to top of knee wall, or all the way to wall plate?

    High pressure shower fans

Thanks SS. Only trouble is....the way i have wired thinking about it. I allowed for switch/pull switches to bring on light plus timer fan in each bathroom. To have 1 fan between 3 would have to install extra pull cords to separate fan from lights, otherwise lights coming on everywhere!!! and...
