    service interval reset

From Ebay via Google "There's no great ''trade secret'' as to how to reset the service indicator lamp on most Vauxhall's, simply refer to pages in the Owner's Handbook! For reference of those interested in such matters, but who might not have access to an owner's manual, this is the...

front lights on a vw beetle pre 1970

You obviously done it wrong then. Use a meter and check which wires are +12V when on dip and when on high beam. Check which one is ground or 0V. If you measure the resistance of the bulb you should be able to find out which is common, that goes to 0V. The other two connectors go to high and...

    Coolant flush

I did read somewhere that mixing pink and blue antifreeze could cause a bit of coagulation in the cooling system. One supplier of flush says it removes the jelly that forms when the two are mixed. Could be BS though for all I know. http://www.forteuk.co.uk/product.php?id=36/Cooling_System_Flush

    Coolant flush

I've got three vehicles that I've got to change the coolant on soon (as I don't know when it was last changed). One, the Alhambra, uses pink antifreeze, the others use blue. Is there a coolant flush that people recommend? The Micra's coolant looks decidedly rusty.

    disks and pads

I wouldn't rely on the pad wear warning light if I were you. I've seen cars where they've been left off when the pads were changed. On my old BX the warning light came on once then stopped working as the end of the sensor got ground off.

    Aircon on a ford torneo

I don't know this vehicle but on my Seat Alhambra the rear air is simply recirculated. So it will take some time before you actually notice anything. If you put it on heat it warms up but on aircon it just takes the air from the front.

Citroen Dispatch trailing arm bolt size?

Could well be right, Citroen use some odd sizes sometimes. I found one bolt on either a BX or an XM trailing arm that was something really wierd like M11 or M13. What ever it was it was 1mm down from the die that I had.

    Knocking Noise

Sounds good value. What my neighbour (car mechanic) advised me to do with droplinks was to unbolt one end. There always seems to be an end that is easy to undo. Then lever the straight bit of the droplink until its balljoint pops apart. Having done that you can then get some Molegrips on the...
