Drayton Wiser Firing When Stat is Above Setpoint!

Thanks @BlueLoo currently I have both of those set to OFF. Are you saying that Eco ON would/should lessen what I am seeing or were you thinking that I had it switched ON and that was the reason for the Wiser firing the boiler?

Drayton Wiser Firing When Stat is Above Setpoint!

I'm confused...As per the title really. I have just swapped out a Hive for the Wiser and have noticed since, that it is firing (albeit not often but still noticeably) when the stat is reporting that the room temp is above the setpoint. Is this normal behaviour or is there a fault or is there a...

Boiler using excessive gas after service

If a burner burns successfully @ 5 bar and also @ 12 bar would it be using a little over twice as much gas?! Could the servicer have increased the pressure to the boiler? I'm by no means a gas/boiler expert just trying to understand.

Boiler using excessive gas after service

If it were me, the 1st thing that I would do is contact the person/s who serviced the boiler, make them aware of your findings and ask them if any adjustments were made during the service that might account for the increased usage.

Right guys. Afraid I'm going to need your help tomorrow with a problem thrown up after replacing my dual channel Hive with the Drayton Wiser 3 channel hub. I have removed the Hive receiver and re wired the backplate moving 3 to 2 and 4 to 3. Attached the Wiser hub, tested both the HW & CH...

    Reading a smart meter

There must be variations by model then. My SMETS1 meters were fitted by Scottish Power back in 2016. On moving away from SP to a different supplier the meters became "dumb" and were not able to be read by the new supplier so I was back to providing manual readings which was when I found in one...

Vaillant 256/5-5 ecoTEC Plus + TADO wiring pls help

Yes, installation of the O/T module apparently voids the manufacturer warranty even though the part is available from the manufacturer. If your Vaillant is out of manufacturer warranty then this won't be a problem for you.

    Reading a smart meter

Did the previous occupiers leave you with an IHD (in house display)? The little display linked to the smart meters that tells you how much energy you are using etc. If they did then there is a chance that you can get the meter readings that you need from that.

Can I use Drayton Wiser 3 channel kit instead of a 2 channel kit?

Does anyone know if the Wiser thermostat kit 3 WT734R9K0902 (3 channel)will work for me if I currently only have 2 zones that require control? H/W and 1 CH zone. Obviously this will mean that I won't have a wire connected to one of the H/W ON connections on the hub. Will this work? Will there...

    Unserviceable boiler installation

What is the name of this company who failed so badly at the 1st hurdle when one of their* engineers, sent to investigate a reported fault/service a newly installed boiler could not be bothered to figure out how to help you out, after they have taken your hard earned cash! How much effort would...

    Boiler not working with Hive

Just to clear as to what I suggested as a test... With the Hive receiver installed and connected to the boiler and the Hive thermostat paired/connected to the receiver. The T40 needs to be connected in its original place and wired as thought still in use. Now turn the T40 to its maximum...

    Boiler not working with Hive

As a test, with the T40 connected and turned up to maximum, does the Hive thermostat then control the heating? i.e when turned up above the current room temperature, does the boiler fire?
