2 fireplaces(in my flat) on this gable wall. water is leaking out from the alcove area between the two chimney breasts, leak showing signs in 3 rooms along this wall, worst in the nearest room. Gable wall in loft was wet to touch.

leak dripping down behind lathe/plaster walls and pooling above the window before dripping down. Steel beam above window is very rusted and plaster/timber look like they have been getting wet for years.

Stick a pair of marigolds on and use two fingers, or finger and thumb if you prefer. :P

Another option is to use MK flange back boxes with number 6 wood screws into the wooden lath.
