    Wireless Alarm Recommendation

I guessI was switched over to Powermaster in the early days when Ricochet had its teething probs........Just personal preference/ familiarity! However Texecom manuals are far less complex that Visonic!

    New CCTV Install

Forget Swann.....look at ebay..millions of "refurbs" - that's because the failure rate in warranty is massive..they repair and sell off cheap. Went to a job last week where they had an "alien 4CH DVR"....I asked how much, they had paid £800 for DVR alone and it was Chinese junk - SHOCKING...

    Long Distance Wireless Alarms

OK Ive got the perfect product and Ive fitted 100's of these over last five years......Dakota 2500 series - fitted PIR's and the solar beams and vehicle probes and customers simply love them.....We've installed in garage forecourts / motorhome storage parks and more recently at a Dressage horse...

Best professional wireless burglar alarm system?

Ive just fitted a Pyronix Enforcer ( my first as I normally use Visonic).........I know there are a few Enforcer fans on here so I'll join them and agree the Enforcer is a nice /simple to install piece of kit... Unlike Visonic, its not overly complex and most competent DIY'er should be able to...

    Dummy Box

The Benley ones are ok BUT in fairness they are like the chinese ones on the bay....have used them previously BUT since using the L-ion ones they are so much better, almost no comparasin...have got ones still running after 3yrs!!

    Dummy Box

..fitted several hundred and their brilliant...lithium ion batteries and made in Dorset I'm told.....Cheap realistic security...all you need in addition is a couple of cable ties!!

    Yale hsa6200 problems

Gents, the OP asked about his alarm.... Once again Bernard, you completely detract from this original query with a slating on wireless alarms..... I think we are all getting bored on here of your continuous drivel......if you can't make a positive contribution, then don't bother saying...

    Reliable Wireless Alarm System

Chaps, I phoned Pyronix today to get the part no for a wireless keypad BUT it seems they only offer a wired keypad...this seems crazy.... Can either of you confirm if this is correct? Cheers Max

    Reliable Wireless Alarm System

I was always a fan on the Visonic Powermax and still am BUT having fitted a Pyronix Enforcer , I can see why some on here rate it so highly,,,, Oh and Pyronix is UK design and built.....support the economy me thinks...so I may move from Visonic purely on Pyronix being UK..... Heres the...

Wireless GSM Alarm - Yale Smart home or Visonic Powermax

I could be wrong but I think the pyronix enforcer offers dual tech pir....Not fitted one BUT I hear very good things about them. Visonic PM does not offer DT PIR's.. Hope this helps, Matt

    alarm or CCTV advice

For me its a no brainer......you go down the path of two seperate systems.... Yes there are manufacturers such as visonic offering the powermaster with cameras built into PIR's but it is a very costly way to have an average system.... You can buy a basic 4ch samsung or hokvision cctv...

Wireless GSM Alarm - Yale Smart home or Visonic Powermax

PMax has been around a long time where as the Yale is a relatively new release..... If going visonic becareful where you source...many non UK priducts on the bay ect which are non compatible with UK variants as I found out trying to save a few pennies.....

Wireless GSM Alarm - Yale Smart home or Visonic Powermax

This is an interesting call as I would have said years ago Visonic no comparasin........However all credit to Yale Ive fitted a few of their new systems and the quality really is very good - no longer can the old school say Yale is rubbish!! All the same the visonic is grade 2 , equipped with...

    New CCTV install recommendations

Very good advice!! Securix and Swann come from the same company called entatech.....Both brands are a disaster in terms of reliability... If you on that budget the Yale kit ( made by dahua is the best VFM by a long shot...

    Samsung SRd443

Hi Festive, I regularly fit the SRD-473 which is now 476 with the SCV-2081 ams and its brilliant - never had any customer complaints....... Ive also used the 443 and while it lacks bells and whistles the unit plays back as good as the 473. 600 for DVR + 2 cams is extortionate......

    wireless alarm questions

I would just go for visonic powermax......the UK models come with a UK re-written manual......

Problems with turning off entry/exit countdown on Yale alarm

I'd take a 6400 fitted over a professional ADT fix - what a show they are!! Becareful what you wish for....... Use smaller local companies than ADT - thats where you learn your trade and make the errors  Anyone worth their onions will start up on their own after serving term with ADT!
