Using a communicator but problems making a connection

Please see above Scantronics 9651 Dose it matter what cameras i have installed? Tho point I was making was simply that I had planned for part of the security system but totally failed to think that I might want to have some remote method of controlling the actual alarm system, or getting...

Using a communicator but problems making a connection

I put in all the security wiring under the plaster along with the feeds for the cameras but totally forgot to bring an Ethernet or phone connection to where the scantronics 9651 is installed. Now I am thinking of adding a communicator but have no means of connecting to the outside world apart...

Setting an alarm system during a power falure

I've just checked and it is set so that when the power fails it does not need a reset. I wish I could remember how I managed to set the alarm with the mains having failed! Hopefully you or someone will be able to suggest how to do it. Cheers Richard

Setting an alarm system during a power falure

I've installed a Scantronics 9651 alarm system and the other day the power to the building failed for several hours. I was in the building at the time (business premises) and wanted to set the alarm when I left but the normal method failed. After a lot of faffing about I managed to set it...

Oil CH boiler runs but on restart there is a problem!

Thanks guys I rang Thermecon this morning and they thought that my problem was most likely to be due to some water getting into the oil. I emptied the three filter chambers and found some water in the two final ones. Now the boiler starts and runs like new again<G> Hope this will help...

Oil CH boiler runs but on restart there is a problem!

Thermacon CH oil boiler fitted with ecoflam pressure jet unit with Danfoss BFP 11 R3 oil pump. It was working fine until a couple of days ago when it failed to complete the start-up sequence. I lifted the cover that protects the fan and electrodes and found that the fan shaft was hard to...

    advice reguarding beam detectors

I've just read this old thread and am very interested in exactly how you are logging the time and date of the activations. I could do with a similar system to record when "visitors" pull into my yard. Many thanks Richard

    Notifiction of area violation ?

Thanks, yes but I want to keep this as simple as possible. I get into the office... if the light is on the clock will have stopped at the time of the incident. I can then go straight to the DVR under the stairs downstairs and pick the time the clock stopped at and bingo. I really do not...

    Notifiction of area violation ?

Then connect the Alarm Out contacts to a latching relay which sets, and lights a lamp, until you press the reset button. http://uk.rs-online.com/web/c/relays/general-purpose-relays/latching-relays/ Thanks for that useful suggestion which has got me thinking! Perhaps the most straight...

    Notifiction of area violation ?

Thanks. BTW what does OP stand for please? There is no foliage in view so I'm not expecting any false activations. This particular system has been in place for a few days and I'm not aware of any false activations so far. Cheers Richard

    Notifiction of area violation ?

Thanks but I want it there for security reasons and having it out of the way. I'm only planning on having to look at video footage in the event of either the main alarm going off (only happened once in the last year) or the sensitive area being violated which is the subject of this thread...
