I'm getting an engineer in to fit the alarm, I just wondered if the alarm companies had moved forward technically to power at least two bell boxes. It's soooo frustrating that they don't :(. I remember researching this years ago, and the same posts are still out there on the internet now !! So...

Yeah, I know this is the easy way out, but I want both bell boxes to work, and work on SAB :)

I would like them both to operate on SAB, as you can't rely on bell box batteries to stay healthy after a few years use.

Not being a builder, I don't know how clean it needs to be ?? I just remember the building inspector on his initial visit saying he would like to see the walls before plastering to check the brick work. Is it ok for the bricks not to be perfect ?? And what would you do, just fill the bad ones...

What have you spotted John ?? They put that digi meter in a few years ago now. And as for the rest of the 'lectrics, they'll all be getting fettled when I retire in a couple of years and get my extension done :)

Here’s a couple of pics. Oven fuse is on the board on the top right, the switch that tripped is bottom right, and there’s a close up for good measure :-)
