thanks for that . that was my point in posting in the first place because 1000w of the load are on 12v and i wanted to make sure i was getting confused myself!!!!

oh my lord this has become a joke .listen i can do ohms law my question was based around the lights being on 12v transformers and basically just making sure my sums were correct which is all i was doing just making sure ! wat i will say is that certain people on this forum seem to think it is...

well i was just making sure as wasnt sure wat effect the transformers had on the power

hi all i am looking to install an outdoor pir security light replacing an old fitting on outside wall obviously this new light will need increased wattage and just wanna make sure im not over-loading the circuit. fuse is 6 amp mcb i already have 3x100 watt lights, but in kitchen i have 20 spots...

possibly with switch wire comin from there????

no mate these are 240 one twin and earth linking two spots and a flex linking to the other spotlight???/

thinkin of changing spotlights in bathroom had a look today 3 spotlights in all but bit that confuses me is their was only two cables at one of the lights should they not be daisy chained i.e. 2 cables at two lights then just one at the last light???

hi have bit of a problem my dads upstairs lights are not workin the switch which is causing the problem is on the landing it is a two way and also controls the spots in the bathroom, some idiot took it off redecorating now 3 bedrooms the landing and bathroom lights wont work! looks like there...

certainly have and its a great piece and use it regular just thought i would ask opinions on books as going away for hols soon and would like a book to help me get to grips with things im coming across and not totally understanding just yet thanks a lot again throw some books out there if ya can...

thanks very much for that have been recommended electrical instillation by college but was told by somebody that it wasnt too great as far as understanding wiring , two ways etc etc will give it a go if anyone else has good books please reply cheers all

well it only says supply above the cable going direct to the light

i am sir but can only see a supply going to the light not the switch

but there is no supply going to the switch there?

so on this simple one way would there only be one cable running to the light :?:
